What is the MPOLx MPO Tester and What Does It Do?
VIAVI Solutions SmartClass Fiber MPOLx is the industry’s first dedicated optical loss test set that can meet all testing requirements for Tier 1 (Basic) certification using MPO fiber connectivity.
With MPOLx, field technicians can perform all testing requirements for Tier 1 (Basic) certification in one solution:
- Measure MPO length.
- Measure optical loss.
- Check polarity.
- Check fiber end faces.
- Create certification reports.
MPOLx gives technicians the ability to achieve a whole new level of efficiency for MPO testing and certification.
Like all our solutions for Tier 1 (Basic) fiber certification, the same local and remote units are provided to provide full visibility and control by testing from the light source and power meter.
All devices feature a 3.5” color touchscreen and integrated control for both bulkhead and trunk connectors.
MPOLx allows a single technician to inspect the end faces of the MPO and perform tests from both ends of the connectors, allowing them to move back and forth between the two units.
MPOLx enables fast workflows by providing comprehensive test results for all 12 fibers of the MPO connector in less than 6 seconds. It provides color-coded pass/fail test results for each MPO fiber, test limit, fiber length, test wavelengths, loss values, edges and polarity results.
