RAYCHEM HIQ Inconel 600 sheathed mineral insulated (MI) series resistance trace heating cables are specifically engineered to provide freeze protection and process temperature maintenance in various industrial applications. MI HIQ Inconel-600 Industrial Heating Cables offer exceptional corrosion resistance against a diverse spectrum of organic acids, alkalis, and chloride stress-corrosion cracking, owing to the Alloy 600 sheath. Approved for hazardous area usage, these cables are available as ‘fast track’ configured heating units.
Primarily designed for hazardous areas, the HIQ mineral insulated (MI) Inconel 600 series heating cables exhibit superior resistance against organic acids, alkalis, and chloride stress-corrosion cracking, coupled with high-temperature endurance. Their application spans bitumen plants, gas plants, oil refineries, reactors and vessels, sodium loops, and a wide array of heat-tracing applications requiring temperature resistance, high power output, and durability surpassing stainless steel-sheathed MI heating cables.
These heating cables are adept at exposure temperatures up to 680°C and offer a typical power output of up to 300 W/m, although higher temperatures and power outputs can be achieved upon consultation with nVent. They are available in bulk or factory-terminated units using brazing or laser welding techniques for optimal connection quality. The product line includes a comprehensive range of installation, connection, and splicing components to complement the heating cables.
